Reports to:    President


Direct and manage internet, computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs and schedules for internal and external communications, business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish organization goals and objectives. Assist senior management with communications, media and advertising materials to effectively represent the organization's services to potential clients, venders, affiliates and the community. Suitable combination of education, training &/or extensive experience is a must.




  1. Direct and manage internet, computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish CWA goals and objectives.

  2. Develop strategic plans and implement the objectives of the information technology needs of the organization to ensure the computer capabilities are responsive to the needs of the organization's growth and objectives.

  3. Develop and establish operating policies and approaches for computing and information technology.

  4. Evaluate overall operations of internet, computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.

  5. Implement public awareness strategies using all forms of media and public awareness avenues.

  6. Assist sales and marketing management with communications, media and advertising materials to effectively represent the organization's services to potential clients, venders, affiliates and the community.

  7. Advise senior management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives.

  8. Assess new computing technologies to determine potential value for the organization.

  9. Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements.

  10. Establish organization infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts.

  11. Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

  12. Serve on technology, planning, and policy-making committees.

  13. Participate in the development of new project proposals.

  14. Other duties as assigned.


1.     Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff. 


  1. Commitment to the goals and philosophy of CWA.

  2. Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of information technology computer systems and software and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations. Experience with implementation of information technology integrations in a large division/company.

  3. Work requires full understanding of Microsoft Office and Mac OS X-Leopard applications, the Adobe Suite, and web design and graphics, with the ability to learn new software applications. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

  4. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Masters Degree in information technology or computer science and ten years of experience in a senior-level information technology position.

  5. Must be fluent in French and German.

  6. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.


Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
